What Makes AEF Different?
AEF is continually striving to be one of the best places to work. Having adopted the team concept from the beginning, every employee, including managers, are perceived as peers. Every employee has a core role to play within Team AEF. In addition to his/her day-to-day duties and responsibilities, it is the expectation that every employee participate on cross-functional teams and on an Emergency Response Team. Based on this Team philosophy, and in an effort to maintain and improve Team AEF for the long term, the Catalyst for Teamwork behaviours were born.

Continuous Learning AEF is committed to continuous learning to ensure that all employees develop and maintain the skills and knowledge needed to be effective in their roles. An individual training matrix is developed for each employee, depending on job function and requirement. HSE training is provided to all employees.
AEF considers interpersonal and team skills equally as important as technical skills. In an effort to develop and enhance these skills we have implemented AEF University. AEFU is a continuous learning program that includes development in areas such as coaching, feedback (giving & receiving) and meeting facilitation.
Also included are learning/communication sessions on topics such as “total compensation” and “retirement planning”. We strive to ensure our employees have the information they need to create a healthy work-life balance, allowing them to meet their needs today and plan effectively for the future.
