Community Involvement

Alberta Envirofuels Inc. is an active member of the Strathcona Industrial Association (SIA), an organization of heavy industry operators in East Edmonton and Strathcona County.  SIA's mission is to work with the community, county and city to ensure a safe environment.  This is accomplished through participation in the following committees and programs:

• Environmental Committee operates a network of ambient air monitoring stations in Edmonton and Sherwood Park
• Strathcona District Mutual Aid Program (SDMAP) coordinates joint industrial and local emergency response in the event of a major accident or disaster
• Community Awareness & Emergency Response (CAER) program maintains dialog with the community and promotes issues on health, safety and the environment

AEF also supports the local community through support of local businesses, sponsorship of local events, and participation in the Sherwood Park Chamber of Commerce.
